Design Systems
Work alongside our designer to tighten one design system across the web app, the mobile app and the brand as a whole — sharpening the everyday experience and giving the whole product a coherent, considered feel.
About the role
You will help turn a fast-moving product into a coherent system. Working closely with our designer, you will define the components, tokens and patterns that hold the app together — and design flows that feel calm, fast and obvious. You will also help producers tell the story of what they grow and make.
What you will do
- 01Build and document a strict, reusable design system.
- 02Design flows that feel calm, fast and obvious.
- 03Help producers communicate their offering beautifully.
- 04Move fluidly between systems thinking and hands-on craft.
What we look for
- 01Strong taste and craft.
- 02Systems thinking.
- 03Comfortable in Figma and with design tokens.
- 04Care about real food and the people behind it.
Who you are
You've shipped real work — products, prototypes, side projects you cared enough to finish. You think in systems but sweat the details, and you like to experiment until something feels right. We're shaping our design language as we go, so there's real room to set the foundations and bring your own taste. We'll give you the freedom to run with it.
Who we are
We're a small founding team — Vitali on product and design, Sean on finance, and Yannick on community — building SLO hand in hand with the growers we serve, like Simone and Ossian at Nibble Trädgård. We started a couple of years ago on a simple belief: the best food comes from the few people who really care about it. We don't have all the answers; we listen to producers and build where we can help most.
Why SLO
A handful of middle-men decide how food reaches us, and the people who grow it see little of what shoppers pay. We give producers their own tools to sell directly — and keep almost all of what they earn.
95%
of the Swedish grocery market sits with four chains.
~28%
of what shoppers pay reaches producers in the EU.
60%
of Swedish farmers take a second job to get by.
95–100%
of each sale stays with the producer on SLO.
This isn't theory. In a 2024 pilot we ran home deliveries for two months — over 80,000 SEK in sales to 87 customers across three producers, and 44% came back to order again. Just 25 private customers a week added around 11% to a producer's annual revenue. It worked; now we're building the product to do it properly.
